Right now we did a small exercise having to do with perspective. Things can drastically change based on the angle and way you see them, such as the rooster who was just in a magazine, and the cruise that was just a poster. It was a small exercise that relates to several topics we will see this year throughout the AP Seminar course, being multiple perspectives and the lenses in which topics are viewed. The course will be rigorous and will require a lot of dedicated time both semesters. My main goals are to hone my writing and oral speaking skills, learn to view issues issues from different points of view, and to improve my team work abilities. I hope to pass this course, earning a grade higher than three in the final exam that will consist of several parts, including an oral presentation and a written exam.
My goal for this course is to learn about writing and reading. I expect to start reading more often and achieving writing skills. I struggle with my reading habits since I don't read as much as i'll liked to because I don't make enough time for it. I believe perspectives are important to get out of your mind state and start opening up your mind to different ways of thinking. Considering the way others think when writing can get you engage with your audience and giving a relatable point of view in whichever topic you are discussing. Perspectives can get you to have a stronger argument about the topic which will open you to understand other's opinions and the way society acts due to their beliefs. In this course I hope to get to engage with many ways of thinking so that my text can get to be interesting to many audiences.
During this course, I hope to acquire new skills to improve my writing and presentation skills. I would like to learn tips on how to conduct an in depth research for my future projects and assignments. I believe this class is going to help me analyze and learn the information instead of just memorizing or reading. I hope it opens up my perspective as to how many sides are in a story. In any given topic, many components must be analyzed in order to get a clear understanding of the information. Different lenses and perspectives are to be taken into consideration to avoid a shallow research. For example, the environmental perspective or the economic perspective. I decided to join this class because I feel like it might be a good "investment" for my future. My main goal is to pass the AP exam with an average grade and to use the knowledge I will learn during this course in the coming years.
I am really excited for this school year. I hope to learn how to argue with others in a logical and complex way and learn the different perspectives that may arise during an argument. The warm-up done today was a interesting yet ingenious way of teaching us the different perspectives that exist. The activity consisted of describing a picture that was given to us and find the pattern among the pictures. As the activity progressed, we could see the numerous perspectives in one simple scenario. I found this activity very amusing and fascinating, as I did not expect the end result. I realized that I have to open my mind in order to see every point of view, not only in this kind of exercises, but in daily life. I hope that AP Seminar will give me the skills to become a better student and speaker.
The goal I have to pass the final AP exam with at least a three, I'm happy that grade. I wanted to get into the class of AP Seminar, because lots of my friends and classmates were in the past school year in this class and told me that it was an interesting class that, it helps you with many skills like reading, writing and understanding different points of views. I really hope that by the end of this school year AP Seminar has thought me different and new ways I can up my argument into a paper. I also know that this class if about feedback from your peers, that also can help me improve my writing skills. Points of view are important since it helps us understand and find new solutions to the problems that we face now-a-days. I hope to hace a good school year.
In this semester I am expecting to boost my critical thinking abilities. I am looking forward to improving my writing and reading skills. In the past years I have notice that I struggle the most in the area that this class will help me improve. While reading I find it hard to analyze and comprehend the situation and I will like to be better with that. I hope that by the end of this semester I will get to know different perspectives and be open minded so those points of views help me improve with my thinking. One of my main goals is to become better at arguments and learn how to support them. Including researching and expressing myself. Finally my goal is to notice the difference in my writing assignments and increase my capacity and understanding.

People can have different opinions in one same topic because they have a different perspective of it, and they create arguments to persuade others to believe in that opinion. I hope to at least pass AP Seminar and AP research to at least get a certificate. AP Seminar is a subject that boosts students reading and writing skills, which in some way, will help me in the near future if I decide to study in the United States. Taking AP Capstone subjects is a great opportunity for every students. AP Seminar will also help me evaluate multiple perspectives, synthesize ideas, work in teams, and help me understand and analyze better.

How to critically analize wether an argument is valid or not, and to improve my presenting skills. I hope to get at least a 3 on the final AP score exam. I also want to learn how to look at real world problems from different perpectives. Why? Because problems are always complex and to fully understand them we can´t just look at it one way. It is important to properly construct arguments to have a clear and logical order on sentences to have a better flow of ideas. I hope to enhance my critical thinking skills, which will help me with real life problems later on in life. I hope learn how to analyze perspectives, and ow to identify bias and unbiased arguments to ensure total credibility. I think that this will help me be a more open minded person, willing to accept and understand different perspectives. First of all I want to practice more my APA format for it to become easy and a habit for me. In the other hand, I want to improve my english writing skills, writing well strong arguments for important essays. By the end of the school year I would like to see my improvement in writing essays with strong arguments, applying new helpful techniques. I would like to develop some research skills while searching for information from specific topics to write essays Last but not least, I would like to improve in my oral presentation skills, making it easier and possible for me to talk in public because I really panic a lot. To conclude, I can determine this AP Seminar course will help me in the future with my high school and college classes.
